A Sense of Humor

As Liam gets older, his personality has really started to become more and more apparent...and as it turns out, he is quite the joker. In addition he is getting to the point where he tries to imitate much of what we do, and since Denise and I act ridiculous most of the time....it has rubbed off on him.

Denise snagged these pictures the other day during lunch. Apparently Liam grabbed the spoon and started making faces all on his own (if you ask me, it looks like something his Grandpa Gasser would do).

A few other things of note...Liam does "headstands" although its more of a tri-pod. Again, another thing he came up with on his very own.

He is also getting more and more determined to get where he wants to go. In addition to climbing over us, he is now climbing onto things. He's getting pretty clever too, the other day I was trying to check my email while he rummaged around the room. So I'm checking my email and I hear Liam giggling. So I turn around and he is standing on the seat of our recliner rocking back and forth. First off, I knew he could climb on things, but the seat of that chair is up to his chest. So I jump up and take him down before he falls and breaks his neck. I place him on the ground and he immediately runs around to the side of the chair where a box is lying on the ground. He climbs onto the box and then over the arm rest and onto the chair. That little punk has learned to link surfaces! Now we have to be really careful about what surfaces can go next to each other...which is really difficult to do these days since we have been trying to pack up some of Mary's things.
