Moida in Chicaga

As the mature adults that Denise and I are, we were of course hesitant to participate in a costume party some of our friends were hosting. Actually, in all honesty we were so excited about the party that we agreed to host it here at our place; where better to throw a 1920's raver then in a 1920's rambler? And as you can see from the picture, we didn't even have to decorate at all for it, we just used the house as is. (Mary's portion of the house at least, our portion is slightly more updated...slightly)

Although dressing up for its own sake would be good enough for Denise and I, there was actually a reason for the festivities...and that was murder! Us and the 3 other couples got together and played "How to Host a Murder."  The game dictated both our characters and the era. Denise was Molly, the fast-talkin', fast drivin', high society flapper. And I was Billy, an up and coming all-star pitcher in the majors. Luckily, neither one of us actually killed anybody, although I tried and Denise drove the get-a-way car.

As you can see, everyone went all out for the party. We have from the left Eddie "Socks" R. Gyle, "Torchy" Anna Maria Carlotta Sassine, Malissa "Scoop" F Orrthot, Ernie "Bet a Million" G. Ambler, Molly M. Awbsterr, Billy "the Kid" Thrower, Liam the Actual Kid, S. Treighton Harrow, and "Silky" M. Adam. And just to emphasize the authenticity of both the house and Denise's outfit, here is a completely un-staged (scouts honor) and un-photoshopped picture I snapped of Denise as everyone was leaving.
