Graduation...Part 1

So Dan finally graduated from architecture school! And although he has another year of classes, he decided to walk with the rest of his friends. I wish I could say that the ceremony was awesome, but it wasn't. Not only was it a cold night, but it was raining as well. And to put the icing on the cake, there are probably a million undergrads who got their diplomas before the grad students were called. But, for as unpleasant as the experience was, it was nice to see Dan finally get recognized for all his hard work and sleepless nights (he won the Henry Adams
Medal for outstanding performance!). Sorry about some of the quality of the pictures below, the lighting wasn't great so it was hard to get crisp photos without using the flash.

This is Dan receiving his medal from the chair of the Architecture department (who by the way said he had heard great things about Dan and his work!) Liam and I were there as well, and lets just say Liam was a very vocal supporter (for the entire ceremony).

The big moment....receiving his fake diploma and hugging his professors. Again, although he still has another year, it was good to get some closure to the last 5 years of his schooling. After next year he'll have been at the university level for 9 years, he probably should have been a doctor, or any other profession that actually earns money.

This is Justin, one of Dan's good friends he made in the program, we expect great things from them to come! Notice their robes. The graduate architecture students didn't wear the traditional robes you see at these events. Instead they wore mechanics jumpsuits with their names embroidered on the pockets.
