When He's Not Begging for TV

Liam has become obsessed with TV and videos! We have several fights a day over my phone. The moment my phone is in his sights, he grabs it and runs as fast as he can to a dark room and quickly navigates to YouTube. Even now that I have put a password on it (which he does NOT like), he just watches and waits until I finish a call or text and before the screen goes dark he grabs it and runs like the wind. When we are not fighting about videos, he is actually getting very creative and good with his hands. He has been loving his block and train set, and is getting SO good at stacking. It's actually been really fun to watch him improve.

He found this scrap of wood and started using it to form bridges between furniture for his trains!

He made this one all by himself while I was in the other room! I couldn't believe it!

This pose is obviously even more impressive than his tower:)

And now look what he can do!:) Just kidding, Dan built this with him. But I think playing with Dan is what gives him some of his ideas.

He is also more in love with drawing than ever! For a long time he refused to draw with anything but pens, until Uncle Mark and Aunt Adri brought him markers, now he's a marker snob. I thought this was a pretty good trick though. I left the sponge on the table while I was cleaning, and when I looked back he was using it to smear is ink drawing.

Some days I like to pretend that we can make art together. So I set up on one table and I set him up on his table. But inevitably I end up hovering over him to make sure he doesn't watercolor the couch cushions, or make creative adjustments to my paintings. Not very productive.

I will never get over his 'smile' face. This is what we get every time we tell him to smile for a picture:) Here he said he was drawing 'ghosts'. I think this is the first (and basically only) time that what he drew actually looked like what he said he was drawing. I thought they were pretty good ghosts! The big swirly circle at the top of each shape is the eye...I guess they are cyclops ghosts.
