When we moved to Vancouver I had no idea that we would have acces to so many sandy beaches! I guess I just expected cold rocky beaches that were great for looking at but deadly to swim it. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that there are dozens of beautiful sandy beaches where we get to wear actual swimming suits and and can get in water without actually freezing....on a good day at least. We have started going to the beach in the evening after dinner (on nights when Dan sneaks away from work early...and by early I mean before midnight :). The shallow water beaches heat up pretty well throughout the day, making for pleasant swimming in the evening. It's obviously pretty cold when you first get in, but after about a minute of spastically thrashing about, it's actually perfectly comfortable!
Biggest Belly EVER!!!
Dan is always trying to make fancy sand structures, and Liam is ALWAYS destroying them before he can make any real progress. Dan tries to be brave, but I know it crushes him deep down. The other day I took Liam for an adventurous walk so that Dan could make some nice sand heaps, as seen below.
This is Liam 'riding a dinosaur!' His imagination is too cute:)
Well, that's it for now. Another post or two and we'll be caught up through July and into August:) Sad, I know. But it's like I say, at least I don't give up...(even if I probably should).
