Dan went to China this November for one of his classes. He deserted me for eight days with a baby and a little old lady to look after. My mom, being the selfless heroine that she is, recognized that it was her motherly duty to come spend the week in Berkeley. We had a great time! We went shopping, walked to the farmers market, walked to get groceries, walked to get gelato, walked to buy shoes, walked pretty much everywhere, cooked a lot, ate out a lot, went across the bay to San Francisco, watched movies, stared at Liam, and generally had a pretty awesome time! When we went into San Fran the Giants had just won the series, and it just so happened that we went on the day of the big parade. The BART was packed, and the streets were even more packed. It was ridiculous, but also a little exciting to be there for it. We spent most of the day down on the pier. Needless to say, I survived in Dan's absence...but only just barely. I was still missing him, and glad to have him home safe and sound. Unfortunately, Dan had our camera in China, and my mom's camera got stolen in the airport right when she arrived. The only documentation we have is just a few (but surprisingly good quality) pictures from her phone.

Yeah yeah, so the Giants won -- rub it in!
By the way, the chubby one is adorable.
