I am leaving town in a matter of hours to fly to Utah for the Christmas break. But I refuse to let Christmas happen before getting caught up on my blogging. So here I am.
Even though the rain started in early October and we see a LOT of it, we still have clear days every once in a while that make it all bearable. Whenever the sun peaks out from behind the clouds everyone in Vancouver drops everything and runs outside! Here is Liam on a 'bike ride'. It's one of those two-wheeler scoot bikes that helps kids learn to balance and transition into a real bike someday. Mostly he just scoots really slowly and tries to make me push him. Usually I end up carrying the bike home:)
A very Liam thing to do
In case you didn't see this on Facebook...I gave Liam Life cereal for breakfast one morning and he was SO excited. As I passed him the bowl he said, 'Ahh, thank you! I'm so proud of you for making this.' And he totally used a mom voice, like he was trying to reinforce my good behavior. It was so funny! It really just reinforced the fact that it still doesn't take much to impress him:)
Our tree! Now undecorated on the bottom half after three weeks of Liam breaking ornaments by using them as a bouncy ball, breaking ornaments by falling from a stool (while trying to get movies off the top of the TV) and into the tree, breaking ornaments by trying to rearrange them, and pulling off ribbons for ribbon dancing. I knew this would happen, but I couldn't resist. I love my tree:)
We went to one of those big German Christmas markets in the city, and Liam was finally brave enough to ride the carousel and he LOVED it! He rode two times.
On very rare occasions, things get quiet in the house and when you track down your child they are actually doing something sweet instead of something sneaky and naughty. This was one of those times. I crept around the corner and found him in his toy room having story time with his blocks on the rug. They were all piled up and he was talking to them and reading them stories.
Liam found himself a spoon one morning:) As he ate his breakfast he kept telling me that he was 'running out late to work' and he was looking in the fridge looking for his lunch to take to work.
We were showing some of our friends where we lived in Berkeley on Google Maps street view, and as we zoomed in to look for our car in the driveway, we found Me! and Liam!
And in case you haven't heard the news...I'm pregnant with baby boy number two! Due the first week of May!
Well, that's all for now! I can officially enjoy my Christmas Vacation.

I'm so proud of you!! I love it when they start having these funny conversations. The girls talk to inanimate objects all the time -- it's hilarious!! Have fun!
Look! I found your blog. The pic of Liam outside with his sidewalk chalk and eyes scrunched closed is so cute. I love him!
