Sher and Beaster

As it has been ages since our last post - and the threats have begun to pile up - Dee and I have decided to start the long process of catching all our adoring fans up on the wild happenings here in Berkeley. First things first, Denise's sister Sher and her hubby Brian came and visited us during the week of Easter (hence the title). We all had fun, but I suspect that Liam had the best time. Sher and Brian did a ton with Liam and he loved every minute of it. They went to the horse races, did some shopping, took Liam for walks...in reality I'm sure they came to vacation with Liam instead of us. But that's okay, we expect as much and we still got to enjoy the spillover. We of course went to all the best restaurants in the area, and I even convinced Brian to go get some 'Everything Sandwiches' from a place in the city (an everything sandwich is meat, coleslaw and fries sandwiched between 2 slices of french bread). So without further ado, here are the photos.

We did take one night though and run to the city without Liam. The girls did some shopping and Brian and I went and got those sandwiches. At the end of the day, we went and saw 'The Hunger Games' in a theater that is on the sixth floor of the big mall off Market Street. Well, the movie got out at about 12:00 or 12:15 or so...but it doesn't really matter. By the time we got out of the theater, our BART train was going to be at the station in 4 minutes. Denise - being the kid at heart that she is - insisted that we could make the train even though we were 6 floors and a ridiculous escalator maze away. So Denise takes off with a yell and sprints out the doors and into the mall. She's knocking over old ladies, squeezing past slow couples on the escalator, all the while with Brian, Sher and I in tow...(until Brian decided he would be a better leader and pushed Denise out of the way).I have to say that I was skeptical, but lo and behold when we made it to the platform, we were out of breath but on time.

They took off on Easter sunday, but not before they gave Liam an alphabet puzzle...which he still associates with Sher (sorry Brian). Other than the puzzle, Denise and I got him the obvious, but we'll let Liam announce his presents.

We probably shouldn't have given him any candy because now its all he wants to eat, especially jelly beans. In fact, I cut the video below down to be of appropriate internet length but if I were to upload the entire video, you would see that it is about 15 seconds of decent performance, and then three and a half minutes of eating and talking about jelly beans.
