Step Into Christmas!

You gotta love that song...am I right? We had a Dahle Family Christmas in Utah this year. It was so great to have the whole huge family all home at once...a huge family going on huger now that we have four grandkids running/rolling about. It was also nice to see some snow. Although we have completely fallen in love with Berkeley weather, there is nothing better than a white Christmas! (Especially when you get to skip out on the following four months of miserable, windshield scraping weather:) We were there for about two weeks, and still didn't see everyone/do everything we planned. Liam had several firsts while we were out there...first time meeting Santa, first Christmas, first time sitting up on his own (very briefly), first time getting miserably sick, first girlfriend...talk about growing up too fast.

Traditional Christmas Eve pajamas. (Mom, you'll be happy to know that Dan has actually been wearing his this year!)

Could Liam look any more like Dan? It's kind of freaky. And could Ali look any more hilarious?

The traditional waiting around on Christmas morning for everyone to FINALLY get up and ready for the grand gift opening ceremony.

Dan finally got his record player that will convert his records to digital files...now his record collection can do something besides just look cool. He was pretty excited. Sure he may look calm and collected here, but you should have seen him before he regained composure...

I received my new best friend, the Beco Baby Carrier. I've been carting Liam all over town in this bad boy. I also got a sweet new pair of pants that Dan picked out for me. He has an uncanny way of picking out perfect pants for me.

Liam is obviously thrilled about his new toy from Grandma Dahle...

and more thrilled about the wrapping (like every baby in the world)...

but most thrilled about this box from our white elephant gift exchange. He played with it for hours. You can see how much he loves it by the way he holds it so close to his heart and the pleased look in his eye.
Raggedy Anne...who knew she would make such an impression on him. He had his hands all over her the whole time we were out there. He really loved her. He has obviously realized that he's been caught red handed, see how he slowly tries to play it cool.

This is not a competition -- Liam is adorable! I'm so glad you posted pictures from Christmas . . . in February. And I love the pictures of Danny with his record player. It looks like you had so much fun there!

I think Dan is so good at picking out clothes for you because he tries them on himself first. "Yep, these fit me. They're a keeper."
